Maji Means Water

maji1majishirt1majiOne in six people in the world do not have access to safe drinking water.

Every 15 seconds, a child dies of a water-related disease.

More than 5,000 children are dying each day as a result of a water-related disease.

80% of all sickness on the planet is caused by unsafe water and lack of basic sanitation. It kills 2.2 million people every year. That is more than all forms of violence, including war.

One of my friends, up in Colorado, is doing something about it. He, along with some pals, created a t-shirt company called Maji (Swahili for water). They make and sell shirts and send 100% of the profit to Charity:Water (a non-profit organization that brings clean, safe drinking water to people in developing nations who would otherwise go without).www.charitywater.org

Here is Maji’s promo video. Check it out!

I’d encourage you to be a part of this small movement (with God’s hand, it could end up being pretty big). Go to the website www.givemaji.com . Buy a shirt. Maybe even start your own company, or come up with another unique way to help people around the world.
